Garden Cress (Lepidium sativum)

Garden Cress (Lepidium sativum): small herb of sharp taste, slightly spicy and a hint of acid. It is consumed fresh in salads where it provides crunchiness, it is also used to add taste to butter, cheeses, omelettes and tons of different preparations. It differs from Watercress because its leaves are smaller and its taste is slightly spicy.
 It is very easy to grow and can be sown almost all year round, avoiding the hottest and coldest months. Germinates and vegetates above 5 °C
, it is important to avoid water stagnation and to place it in half shade. It grows particularly fast, gemination is also pretty soon.
