Besbee Red Bean (Vigna unguiculata)

Besbee Red Bean (Vigna unguiculata): a rustic and undemanding variety, especially when it comes to water.  The climbing plant produces long pods that have a good productionn  of dark red seeds. Like other ecotypes added this year, we suggest it for dry farming; it comes directly from the germplasm bank of Native Seeds, which preserves ecotypes of indigenous Amerindians grown in desert and semi-desert areas in the South West of the United States. In three years of cultivating it, it has never given us any trouble. It is robust and precocious. Suitable for both, dry farming and difficult environments, as well as for experimenting with alternative cultivation methods.
