Lao Lavender Eggplant (Solanum melongena)

Lao Lavender Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.): this is a very particular variety from the Asian country of Laos, and the Lao ethnic group.The berry is very small and round, slightly flat at the sides, it does not exceed five cm in diameter, and flaunts a beautiful lavender colour. The plant is very productive even if small, slightly over half a meter in height. It takes about  seventy days
 from transplant to producing the first fruit, which are particularly decorative as well as edible, they are versatile, practically sweet, can be either cooked, and even fried whole. This plant is particularly easy to grow because it is very undemanding, suitable for pot cultivation, it will decorate your gardens and balconies with an explosion of color. Attention need only be paid to to germination, it should  be a constant 25°C in hot seedbeds or when the temperatures are stable.
