Gold Medal” Yellow Tomato (Lycopersicon lycopersicum): this variety first appeared in a catalogue in New York, 1921. It was originally called “Golden Ruby”, the plant is indeterminate and productive, it provides large “beefsteak” style fruits which go through an array of colors during the 85 days of ripening, from shades of orange, yellow, to rosy red ones.

It is famous for its unique flavor and winner of numerous competitions since it has firm flesh, that renders it perfect to be eaten fresh, it also has superior taste, sweet, little acid. The size of the fruit is important, they reach 600 gm.
