Sweet Tangerine Tomato (Lycopersicon lycopersicum)

Sweet Tangerine Tomato (Lycopersicon lycopersicum): this variety holds smooth, thin skin, and a bright orange colour. Even if it's not very big it does get to weight about 200 to 300 gms. It is categorized a "Beefsteak" because of its shape, and dense, meaty texture. The pulp has low acidity and a complex flavour, spicy and sweet, particularly fragrant. It has very few seeds, and a large presence of carotene because of its lycopene content which makes it more suitable who do not normally tolerate tomaotes well. The plant is determined, very productive, not too big - about 1.5 mt tall. It is resistant to diseases and tolerant to drought. It is the earliest amongst the "Steaks", making it a suitable choice where there are issues of low temperatures or late sowing. Ready in 70 days from transplant.
